The book has practically been rewritten, so important are the additions, although the first few chapters have been left very much as they were. The chapter on the " Cross-examination of Experts " has been rearranged, many new examples added, and the discussion much extended.

Wonderful scholarship, a beautiful book

This catalog provides an interesting model for cross-disciplinary historical survey publications to come. Wonderful scholarship, a beautiful book, little seen works reproduced, accompanying one of the best shows of the year.

The catalog is excellent, well written, well designed and well researched. Buy it if you did not see the show ...or even if you did, as this exhibit is more about an important moment in 20th century art history and is not about an exhibit of major work, which for most of these artists was yet to come. It will cost a lot more when it is out of print.

One textbook I ENJOYED reading

This book is very current and covers topic including where prices come from, the economics of healthcare, unemployment and inflation, international trade, money, banks and the federal reserve. With this being an election year, all of this is information everyone should have.

The questions were very thought provoking and often led to additional reading of articles in the NY Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Motley Fool, etc.

I learned a lot from this book and was fortunate to be able to reference it for my sociology class! I will not resell this book as it is a great reference for someone like me just getting started in finance and economics.

Amazon fixed their gaff...

I bought this bundle hoping to sell the book back when I was done with this summer session class.

When I clicked the sell us your item back for a gift card button the ISBN number on my book did not match the book in the page's description. I contacted amazon and they were amazing about it. They gave me 3 different options on how to best fix the problem.

Ultimately, Amazon took the book back and refunded me my entire purchase price for the book. I will continue to do all of my books shopping/renting thru Amazon. Thank you Amazon for stepping up and providing A1 customer service.

Good Book!

This book is very simple, concise and to the point. I think the authors wrote it with the college student in mind. Economics may not be the easiest to understand but this book really does a good job in example the key principles of macroeconomics. They also use examples throughout the text that really help put things into perspective in the real world. Definitely a must have!

Improvisation in judgment calls for ongoing, practical decision-making as the constant negotiation between the freedom of the judge to take account of the otherness or singularity of the case and the existing laws or rules that both allow for and constrain that freedom. Yes, it is necessary to judge, yes, it is necessary to decide, but to judge well, to decide justly, that is a music lesson perhaps best taught by critical improvisation scholars.
